Our services include the supply, installation, servicing, maintenance, and monitoring of alarm systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, intercom systems, and associated security technologies. We aim to deliver reliable, high-quality security solutions designed to improve the safety, convenience, and protection of our customers’ homes and businesses.

Our services may include initial consultation, site inspections, system design, equipment recommendations, installation works, configuration, testing, technical support, ongoing maintenance, warranty support, and alarm monitoring where applicable. By engaging Rapid Alarms for any services, accepting a quotation, making payment, or using our website, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Customers are encouraged to carefully review these Terms and Conditions prior to proceeding with any services. Should clarification be required regarding any part of these Terms and Conditions, customers are encouraged to contact Rapid Alarms before accepting a quotation or booking works.

2. Limitations of Liability

Rapid Alarms will make every reasonable effort to provide reliable products, workmanship, and services; however, customers acknowledge that no electronic security system can guarantee complete protection against theft, intrusion, vandalism, property damage, or other security-related incidents. Security systems are designed to reduce risk and improve awareness but cannot eliminate all possible threats or events.

Rapid Alarms shall not be liable for any interruption, failure, or reduced performance caused by circumstances outside of our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, internet outages, power failures, mobile network disruptions, cloud server outages, software failures, third-party service interruptions, customer network issues, environmental conditions, or misuse of equipment.

Rapid Alarms, including its employees, subcontractors, and representatives, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, products, website, or information provided. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, loss of business, data loss, system downtime, property damage, business interruption, or damages arising from delayed notifications or alarm events.

Customers acknowledge that AI-powered notifications, motion analytics, remote access platforms, mobile applications, cloud recording services, and smart detection technologies rely heavily on third-party infrastructure and internet connectivity. Rapid Alarms does not guarantee the accuracy, consistency, or reliability of AI alerts or remote access functionality.

3. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that Rapid Alarms technicians are provided with safe, timely, and unrestricted access to the property for installations, maintenance, servicing, warranty visits, inspections, or technical support appointments. Customers must ensure that work areas are safe, clear of hazards, and suitable for technicians to perform the required works.

Customers are also responsible for maintaining accurate contact information, including phone numbers, email addresses, monitoring details, and emergency contact information. Any changes to customer details should be communicated to Rapid Alarms as soon as possible to avoid delays in communication or service delivery.

Customers must follow all operational guidelines provided by Rapid Alarms and are responsible for maintaining stable internet connectivity, suitable networking equipment, and compatible mobile devices where remote access services are used. Customers are also responsible for advising Rapid Alarms of any site conditions, asbestos, structural issues, electrical faults, renovations, or access restrictions that may impact installation or servicing works.

Where access cannot be provided at the scheduled appointment time, Rapid Alarms reserves the right to charge rebooking fees, missed attendance fees, or additional labour charges where applicable.

4. Pricing & Billing

A 10% deposit is required upon acceptance of a quotation and booking of installation works. The deposit secures the installation date, allows for scheduling of technicians, and assists with equipment allocation and project preparation.

For projects exceeding $5,000, Rapid Alarms may require staged or progress payments throughout the course of the installation. Progress payment schedules will be outlined within the quotation or agreed upon prior to commencement of works. Failure to meet scheduled payments may result in delays, suspension of works, or rescheduling of installation appointments.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment of the remaining balance is required immediately upon completion of the installation or service works. Rapid Alarms reserves the right to withhold programming information, access credentials, warranties, or ongoing support where outstanding balances remain unpaid.

Customers acknowledge that overdue accounts may incur additional costs, including interest charges, debt recovery fees, legal expenses, administrative costs, and collection agency fees where recovery action becomes necessary.

All equipment supplied by Rapid Alarms remains the property of Rapid Alarms until full payment has been received and cleared.

5. Warranty Terms

Rapid Alarms provides a 12-month warranty covering both hardware and labour for all new installations unless otherwise stated in writing. During this warranty period, Rapid Alarms will repair or replace faulty equipment and rectify installation-related faults at no additional cost, provided the fault results from normal operation and not from misuse, accidental damage, third-party interference, or environmental conditions.

Warranty claims must be reported promptly to Rapid Alarms for assessment. Rapid Alarms reserves the right to determine whether faults fall within warranty coverage or whether standard service charges apply.

Warranty exclusions include, but are not limited to:

  • AI notifications and the accuracy of AI alerts;
  • Internet connectivity failures;
  • Mobile application issues;
  • Remote access interruptions;
  • Customer network problems;
  • Power outages;
  • User error or incorrect system operation;
  • Damage caused by third parties, pests, insects, weather, or environmental conditions.

After the 12-month warranty period expires, all service attendances and labour will be charged at Rapid Alarms’ current service rates. Where applicable, Rapid Alarms may assist customers with manufacturer warranty claims outside of the labour warranty period.

6. Cancellations

Customers may cancel installation bookings by providing written notice to Rapid Alarms. Where cancellation occurs between one and seven days prior to the scheduled installation date, the 10% deposit will be forfeited to cover administration, scheduling, and preparation costs.

Where cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled commencement time, Rapid Alarms reserves the right to apply a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the quoted project value.

If works have already commenced, customers will be responsible for payment of all labour performed, equipment supplied, materials ordered, subcontractor costs incurred, and any additional expenses associated with the project up to the cancellation date.

Rapid Alarms encourages customers to communicate as early as possible regarding any scheduling changes or cancellations to minimise disruption and avoid unnecessary charges.

7. Price Beat Terms & Conditions

Rapid Alarms offers a price beat guarantee on comparable products and services supplied by legitimate and established security providers. To qualify, customers must provide a current written quotation from a licensed and reputable security company operating within Western Australia.

The competing provider must hold relevant industry licensing, insurances, certifications, and have a similar reputation, online reviews, business longevity, and service standards comparable to Rapid Alarms.

The competing quotation must include substantially similar products, installation scope, warranty coverage, and service inclusions. Rapid Alarms reserves the right to verify all competitor quotes and determine whether the comparison meets our eligibility criteria.

Rapid Alarms reserves the right to refuse or withdraw any price beat offer at its sole discretion.

Quotes from unlicensed operators, clearance sales, liquidation sales, or non-comparable businesses may be excluded at Rapid Alarms’ discretion.

8. Website Use & Information Disclaimer

Rapid Alarms makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on our website, quotations, advertisements, and promotional materials is accurate and up to date. However, inaccuracies, typographical errors, omissions, or outdated information may occasionally occur.

Rapid Alarms reserves the right to modify, update, improve, or remove website content, pricing, services, product information, images, logos, and Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Rapid Alarms shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of website content, reliance on information provided online, or inability to access online services.

9. Quote Accuracy & Customer Verification

Rapid Alarms takes reasonable care to ensure quotations are prepared accurately based on information available at the time of quoting. Customers are responsible for reviewing all equipment models, quantities, specifications, layouts, and inclusions before accepting a quotation.

Acceptance of a quotation confirms that the customer is satisfied with the proposed scope of works, products, pricing, and installation details.

Where unforeseen site conditions, access restrictions, electrical requirements, or customer-requested changes arise during installation, additional charges may apply. Rapid Alarms will communicate significant variations wherever reasonably possible before proceeding with additional works.

10. Confidentiality & Privacy

All customer information provided to Rapid Alarms will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing services, warranty support, monitoring services, technical support, and related operational requirements.

Rapid Alarms will not disclose customer information to third parties except where required to deliver services, comply with legal obligations, process warranties, coordinate suppliers, or support monitoring and technical services.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of passwords, user credentials, remote access accounts, and monitoring details associated with their systems.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of Rapid Alarms services, products, website, or agreements shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

By engaging Rapid Alarms for services, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.

12. Refund Policy

At Rapid Alarms, we are committed to providing high-quality products, workmanship, and professional services to our customers. If you are not fully satisfied with a product or service supplied by Rapid Alarms, refund requests will be assessed in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and the terms outlined below.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the original purchase or service date. To be eligible for consideration, products must be returned in their original condition, unused, undamaged, and, where applicable, in their original packaging. Services that have already been substantially performed, completed installations, custom-configured systems, special-order products, software licenses, monitoring services, and labour charges may not be eligible for refund.

Rapid Alarms does not provide refunds for change of mind, incorrect customer selection, or where the customer no longer requires the product or service after purchase, booking, programming, ordering, or installation has commenced.

Where a refund is approved, Rapid Alarms reserves the right to deduct any reasonable costs already incurred, including administration fees, labour,freight, supplier restocking charges, programming costs, merchant fees, and any works completed up to the date of cancellation. Approved refunds will generally be processed back to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

Nothing within this policy limits or excludes any rights or remedies available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law. Rapid Alarms reserves the right to assess all refund requests on a case-by-case basis and reserves the right to refuse refund requests at its sole discretion where permitted by law.

13. Installation-Specific Notes

All installations completed by Rapid Alarms are carried out based on the information, access, and site conditions available at the time of quotation and installation. Customers acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances, concealed building elements, structural obstacles, access limitations, asbestos risks, electrical issues, network limitations, environmental conditions, or other site-related factors may affect installation methods, device placement, timelines, or final project costs.

All systems supplied by Rapid Alarms are designed to utilise existing client-provided 240V power outlets unless otherwise specified within the quotation. Where additional power works, GPO installations, or electrical upgrades are required, these may incur additional charges unless specifically included in writing.

Where devices require connection to the client’s internet network, Rapid Alarms will make reasonable efforts to hardwire network uplinks wherever practical. If network cabling pathways are unavailable, inaccessible, impractical, or unsuitable, additional hardware such as wireless access points, wireless bridges, mesh systems, or networking equipment may be required at additional cost to the customer.

Customers acknowledge that surface-mounted conduit, ducting, capping, containment, cable trays, or other visible cable management solutions may be required during installation depending on site conditions, construction methods, accessibility, compliance requirements, aesthetics, or technical limitations. Final installation methods, cable pathways, and containment solutions remain at the reasonable discretion of the attending Rapid Alarms installation technician.

Unless specifically stated within the quotation, Rapid Alarms does not undertake building works, patching, painting, plaster repairs, core drilling, trenching, civil works, asbestos removal, electrical switchboard upgrades, or remediation of existing cabling infrastructure. Any additional works required outside the quoted scope may incur additional charges.

Customers acknowledge that cable pathways, device locations, conduit routes, and equipment positioning may need to be reasonably adjusted during installation to accommodate practical site conditions, compliance requirements, signal performance, aesthetics, or technical limitations. Rapid Alarms will make reasonable efforts to maintain neat and professional installation standards at all times.

Where existing customer-supplied infrastructure, cabling, networks, power supplies, racks, internet services, or third-party equipment are utilised, Rapid Alarms cannot guarantee the performance, compatibility, reliability, or ongoing functionality of those existing systems.

Installation dates and completion timeframes provided by Rapid Alarms are estimates only and may be impacted by weather conditions, supplier delays, site readiness, customer availability, access restrictions, subcontractor scheduling, or unforeseen technical complications.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are responsible for ensuring suitable power, stable internet connectivity, and adequate working space are available prior to commencement of works. Delays caused by site unpreparedness may result in additional labour charges or rescheduling fees.

Rapid Alarms reserves the right to photograph completed installation works for quality assurance, training, warranty documentation, and marketing purposes unless otherwise requested by the customer in writing.
